Monthly Meeting

Our speaker today is Emma Jolly.

Emma is a retired 6th form teacher, now living in Lymington. She is passionate about literature, language and history, especially Tudor history. 

Emma aims to share her passion while informing and entertaining us.

We're all experts in using our language from the age of 11, yet there's so much we don't know about it.  In today's talk Emma will pick out some of the idiosyncrasies of our language that result from its complicated history, which of course is related to the history of England.
