August, as usual, was a quieter month for the Club with no formal Meetings taking place and Members spending time to enjoy a rest in the sunshine or well earned vacations with their families.

Nevertheless,  the August Summer Luncheon proved again a highlight of the club's social calendar. Both the Lentune Ladies Club and Lentune Probus Men gathered to enjoy an excellent three course lunch at the Lord Bute Restaurant in Highcliffe.

The Lentune Summer Luncheon is always a popular event and has been held annually for more than 20 years. The attendance this year was over 50 members, widows and guests.

Meetings resume again in September. Lentune Ladies have a double treat in store : as well as their regular monthly meeting, they have also been invited to join the Lentune Probus Men's meeting, so resurrecting an annual tradition since before the pandemic .
