A record 37 members, their wives, partners and guests assembled at The Huntsman of Brockenhurst, on Thursday 27th February, to compete for the Lentune Probus Skittles Trophy. 


Competition was fierce but, after two rounds followed by a one-ball final round, the honours and the trophy went to Carol Burden with a score of 15. Runners-up John Douglas and Bill Basham scored 14 and Bob Ward 13, in a closely fought competition. 


In a further blow to male pride, the wooden spoon was awarded to Sally Fox, after a thrilling three round, one-ball play-off against Val Gates and Judy Basham. 

 

Presenting the prizes, Chairman Bill Basham congratulated the winners and thanked John Douglas for organising such a fun, enjoyable, competitive evening. 

 

Thanks was also given to the staff of The Huntsman, who served a range of very welcome meals.
