Monday September 13th was a special day in the annals of Lentune Probus Club, as it was the day on which we restarted our monthly meetings, following a Covid-related absence of 18 months.
Members arrived early to renew acquaintances and had to be persuaded into the dining room for our customary short business meeting. This was followed by an excellent talk by Christopher Legrand entitled "The Treasures of Dorset", which took us on a scenic trip around this beautiful county, discovering some of the lesser-known facts about its history, families, landscape and architecture.
A drink from the bar and an excellent lunch followed, confirming why South Lawn remains the venue of choice for clubs and societies meeting in the New Forest Area.
Members are advised that the September edition of the Lentune Probus Club News Bulletin is now available to view in the secure Members Area of this website.
We are now looking forward to our next monthly meeting on 11th October, when our speaker will be Liz Downs from Canine Partners.
